Teacher Academy of Maryland Grant

Loyola University Maryland is pleased to announce its partnership with the Teacher Academy of Maryland (TAM). Effective in the Fall 2023 semester, the $3,000 per semester Loyola TAM Grant is awarded to full-time first-year and transfer accepted students who successfully complete the Teacher Academy of Maryland (TAM) program and declare an Elementary Education major at Loyola. The Teacher Academy of Maryland (TAM) is a Career and Technology Education that program focuses on creating teacher candidates from grades 6-12. High School students will complete a four-course sequence that ends in twelfth grade. They can earn college credit and scholarship money at participating universities, including Loyola University Maryland. Different school districts throughout Maryland have programs (see, for example the Howard County TAM Program).
