Program Coursework/Co-Curricular for the Class of 2029
Required Sellinger Scholar courses fulfill degree requirements for the core business classes for the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Science in Finance degree and are taken in sequence. Scholars also take the one-credit Internship Preparation course in their first year and a Sellinger Scholars Seminar one-credit course in the fall of their Senior year.
Based on your class year, review a map of the Sellinger Scholar curriculum and the courses you will take each semester while you are in the Sellinger Scholars Program.
First-Year Students
Fall Term:
- EC 102 Microeconomics Principles
- BH 200 Financial Accounting
- Sellinger Scholars Special Events
Spring Term:
- BH 196 (1 credit) Internship preparation course
- BH 320 Financial Management
- Sellinger Scholars Special Events
First-year Sellinger Scholars are expected to complete the following classes outside their cohort during their first two semesters at Loyola:
- EC 103 Macroeconomic Principles
- EC 220 Business Statistics
- MA 151/251 Applied Calculus/Calculus I
Sophomores
Fall Term:
- BH 240 Marketing
- BH 251 Data Analytics & Information Systems
Spring Term:
- BH 201 Management
- BH 260 Supply Chain & Operations Management
Juniors
Fall Term:
- BH 305 Legal Environment of Business (Accounting students replace BH 305 with LW/BH 406 Commercial Law)
Spring Term:
- BH 305 Legal Environment of Business (Accounting students replace BH 305 with LW/BH 406 Commercial Law)
Sellinger Scholars courses may be adjusted to accommodate study abroad plans.
