Joshua Player '26 Announced As Fulbright Research Recipient

Joshua Player '26 is thrilled to announce his selection as a Fulbright Research recipient for an upcoming 10-month residency in Bergen, Norway. This prestigious award will support Joshua’s research into the complex dynamics between different estrogens and the neuroprotective protein Arc.
During this exciting international exchange, Joshua will join the Synaptic Plasticity Research Lab at the Mohn Research Center for the Brain, a leading facility home to two Nobel laureates in neuroscience. This fully-funded opportunity through the Fulbright Foundation offers an incredible platform for him to collaborate with world experts and advance critical understanding of brain health while representing Loyola University.
Joshua would like to thank Dr. Teresa Ryan for the constant feedback and guidance during the application process. He would also like to thank Dr. Craig Myrum and the Natural and Applied Sciences for allowing him to kickstart his research here at Loyola as a Summer 2025 Hauber Fellow.
