Sexual and Gender-Based Misconduct

Loyola University Maryland is committed to providing an environment free from sex-based discrimination and harassment. As a campus community, we are committed to education, training, and services that encourage healthy, safe, and respectful relationships. At Loyola, we go beyond compliance with federal laws around gender-based violence, and we aspire to provide an environment that is rooted in our Jesuit traditions of justice and respect for others.

Loyola does not tolerate any kind of gender-based discrimination and harassment, which includes but not limited to:

  • Sexual assault
  • Sexual harassment
  • Gender-based harassment

These behaviors are addressed through Loyola University Maryland’s Harassment and Discrimination Policy, which includes:

  • How Loyola prevents sex-based harassment and discrimination
  • The process for reporting sex-based harassment, discrimination, or retaliation
  • The procedures for adjudicating allegations involving any member of the University community

The complete policy and process can be found on the Office of Title IX and Bias Compliance website at https://www.loyola.edu/department/title-ix/
