The Counseling Center provides consultation services to assist faculty, staff, and administrators in their efforts to respond to students in distress by providing information and resources about:

  • Student concerns and signs of distress;
  • Helping students in distress and/or experiencing illness or loss;
  • information about campus partners; and
  • making a referral to a mental health professional

The Counseling Center does not provide documentation or "excuse notes" for missed classes or assignments. Concerns related to missed classes or assignments should be addressed with the class professor or Office of Undergraduate Studies. Students seeking academic accommodations related to their mental health should contact Disability and Accessibility Services
