Equity and Inclusion at Loyola
We are striving to do better as we work together to create a more inclusive, equitable Loyola. As a Jesuit, Catholic university, we can and will never be at peace as long as there is injustice in our world—and within our own Loyola community. Rodney L. Parker, M.S. '11, Ph.D. '17, is Loyola's second chief equity and inclusion officer as of June 2022. Dr. Parker joined the Loyola community in 2002, and most recently held the position of assistant dean for undergraduate and graduate studies. Dr. Parker guides the President’s Council on Equity and Inclusion in leading the development of Loyola’s diversity, equity, and inclusion strategic plan. The three-year plan will lead to equity audits across the institution and have measurable outcomes. ALANA Services
ALANA (African, Latinx, Asian, and Native American) Services is committed to providing support, services, and programs that encourage the success of students of color at Loyola University Maryland. ALANA Services focuses on enriching and educating members of the Loyola community about diversity and cultural awareness.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Loyola Alumni Board
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Alumni Board is comprised of nine members with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences to help Loyola create lasting improvements in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Members serve as advisors to groups throughout the University to help drive strategies and policies that will positively impact the Loyola community.
There are a number of ways to engage with Loyola as a graduate and show your Greyhound pride—from volunteering or mentoring current students to serving on a committee or advisory board to attending networking or campus events.
