Loyola University Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business introduced the Stackable MBA, which allows working professionals to customize their educational experience through a new pathway of certificates. Each certificate program includes four courses, which can be completed as a standalone certificate or integrated into the MBA program. Offered in hybrid and fully online formats, the Stackable MBA is the first and only program of its kind in Baltimore.

“This flexible and cost-effective option allows working professionals to develop targeted skills that can accelerate career growth or enhance their current roles,” said Mary Ann Scully, MBA ’79, dean of Loyola’s Sellinger School of Business. “Without needing to commit up front to a full MBA program, students can earn certificates quickly and see an immediate return on investment.”

To complete the Stackable MBA, students earn a specialized certificate in marketing, finance, leadership and management, or data analytics and digital technologies followed by a required certificate in general business. The two certificates plus five core MBA courses amount to multiple credentials in 39 credits, completing the MBA program.

“The Stackable MBA offers the same rigorous curriculum and expert faculty as our traditional MBA programs and includes access to our expansive Sellinger alumni network,” Scully said. “It’s perfect for working professionals with demanding lives.”
