Apply to Loyola’s Baltipreneurs Accelerator to grow your venture
Loyola University Maryland’s Simon Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship requests applications for the center’s Baltipreneurs Accelerator, a four-month part-time program supporting startup businesses and social ventures with training, technical assistance, mentorship, networking and access to capital. Applications are available online and due Oct. 31.
Loyola will hold a Q&A session about the program on Monday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m. via Zoom. Interested entrepreneurs can sign up for the session online.
“We’ve assembled a powerful set of resources for Baltimore entrepreneurs, offering guidance from the committed Loyola network and other experienced entrepreneurial leaders in Baltimore, crucial funding for your venture and a chance to collaborate and learn from others like you,” said Wendy Bolger, founding director of the Simon Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship. “This is your chance to move your venture to the next stage.”
The Baltipreneurs Accelerator will provide $40,000 in total funding to eight teams, including Loyola students, faculty and staff, and entrepreneurs in Baltimore City. The teams will attend 10 sessions from December 2022 through March 2023, culminating in a Demo Day showcase in early spring. Throughout the program, mentors, instructors, coaches and consultants will provide guidance customized for each team, and teams will collaborate with each other.
The program welcomes entrepreneurs in all industries and market sizes and gives preference to women entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs of color, entrepreneurs with disabilities and veterans who served in the military.
Loyola will hold a Women Founders Pre-Application Bootcamp on Tuesday, Oct. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. The bootcamp will give women entrepreneurs a chance to learn about the Baltipreneurs Accelerator and win a $500 pitch prize. Interested entrepreneurs can sign up for the bootcamp online.
