Our Accomplishments
Our focus is Cultivating a Community of Care. As a Jesuit, Catholic university, with values including cura personalis and cura apostolica, being a community of deep caring is central to our mission and part of every community members’ role.
This year we are expanding the focus of our work to include all 8 dimensions of wellbeing and specific initiatives include:
- Continue to expand the reach and impact of the Green Bandana Brigade
 - Support and promote the impact of Wellfest and Healthy Hounds Day
 - Develop and promote a public health campaign focused on physical wellbeing
 - Develop and promote a public health campaign focused on interpersonal/social wellbeing
 
Past Initiatives
2024 – 2025
- Increased Green Bandana Brigade (GBB) to 352 students and distributed new GBB stickers campus wide
 - Hosted GBB informational table at WellFest and Healthy Hounds Day
 - Rebranded monthly 'SAFE-ty Notices' to Healthy Hounds Monthly (HHM)
 - Expanded HHM’s visibility through Messina classrooms, digital signage, and printed copies
 - Planned strategic marketing initiatives including a press kit, Loyola Today posts, and email signatures
 
2023 – 2024
- Increased engagement with Green Bandana Brigade (GBB) through the start of our new Bridge group and newsletter
 - Partnered with Human Resources to make Kognito/Vector training a part of new employee onboarding process
 - Achieved 100% of Student Development staff Kognito/Vector trained and enrolled in GBB
 - Increased marketing efforts of GBB and launch of Mental Health Task Force website
 - Launched “Mental Health Resources” button for Inside Loyola
 
2022 – 2023
- Creation of Togetherall Messina Module for first year students
 - Permanent suicide prevention signage posted around campus
 - Creation of virtual comment box to learn more about students’ experiences of wellness, support, and care in our community
 - Creation of monthly “SAFEty Notices” for dissemination of mental health related information across campus
