Message from the Dean of Student Success
Greetings Greyhounds,
Welcome to the Thrive Center for Student Success!
Within the
Center, you will find a network of services and resources that aim to help you be
successful in and out of the classroom. Ensuring that students have a fulfilling
and positive experience is our priority. We invite you to connect with us, whether
you are new to Loyola or a returning student. I invite you to learn about the various
way you can engage with the Thrive Center.
Supporting the Whole Student, Every Step of the Way
Consider us to be your partners on your collegiate journey. We are invested in your academic, social, personal, and professional development. We utilize high-impact practices in working with students. One of the most impactful ways you can receive support is through success coaching. Our coaching services take a holistic and intersectional approach in helping guide students through their four years at Loyola. Whether it’s an informal check-in, academic progress updates, identity exploration, vocational discernment, or discovering opportunities for community building, we are here to support you. I highly encourage students to connect with a coach through a 1:1 meeting, as well as our Academic and Career Enrichment (ACE) workshop series.
An excellent way to engage with the Thrive Center is through our affinity spaces and student organizations. These have and continue to be powerful ways in which students find a deeper sense of belonging and connectedness. Our community spaces within the Center are accessible to all students and campus community members: the Center for Intercultural Engagement (referred to as the CIE), Pride Resource Room, Commuter Commons, and the 3rd floor community kitchen. Feel free to use the spaces to study, dine, program, and enhance your networks.
It is an honor and privilege for me to serve in this role, and I look forward to meeting
and connecting with each of you. I thrive on rapport building with our students and
take great care in curating an environment that embodies our values of academic excellence, diversity, and community. The Thrive Center is here for you!
Go Hounds!
