The Coaching Program

Mission

The Study’s mission is to help students at Loyola thrive as successful, independent life-long learners. One of the conduits to meet the mission is through The Study’s Coaching Program, which aims to meet the following objectives for undergraduate and graduate students:

  • Celebrate each student’s academic strengths and abilities
  • Provide individualized instruction and guidance as students develop their collegiate academic skills, organizational strategies, and personal accountability
  • Optimize student success using the various resources and systems embedded in the University’s academic program

Coaches are trained in the following areas of expertise:

  • Academic Skills ~ note-taking strategies, test-taking preparation, analytical reasoning, reading comprehension
  • Organizational Coaching ~ time management, prioritization, accountability, communication, and general life management
  • Student Success ~ high impact engagement partnerships strategies

Scheduling Process

By Appointment: Students can schedule an appointment with a Study Partner through The Study’s scheduling management software, WC Online. Students select the date and time, and students complete a brief questionnaire indicating their goals for the session.

Referral: Students can be referred to The Study via email to Dr. Khadduri, jfkhadduri@loyola.edu. Dr. Khadduri will work with the student to determine the type of support and coordinate scheduling the appointment.
