Compensation Guidelines
Refer to the staff and administrator policy manual to review Loyola's compensation guidelines – Section III. Compensation and Salary Administration (3.1-3.12).
Minimum Requirements & Equivalencies
Loyola University Maryland employs a 1-to-1 ratio between years of relevant experience and education when assessing position requirements. All experience must be in the same field to be counted.
For certain positions, there is the possibility of utilizing an educational or experience equivalency. However, it is important to note that professional roles requiring specific degrees (e.g., a lawyer needing a J.D. degree) are not eligible for equivalency.
This matrix does not account for any job specific requirements that may be applicable. Internships/student employment/volunteer work are not counted unless noted in the job description and/or may be prorated at one-third with CPCO/AVP HR approval. Doctoral degrees are reviewed on a case-by-case basis depending on the relevancy to the role and program.
