Student Administrative Services

Student Administrative Services is the primary financial office center for students, parents, and the Loyola University Maryland community of faculty, staff, and administrators. Our principal focus encompasses the monitoring of both undergraduate and graduate student tuition accounts, as well as employee activity accounts.

Schedule Appointments

Schedule an appointment to discuss your student account!

Arrange for a 30 minute session based on your last name or graduate program, then select a date and time.  Bookings will show all of the available times.  You'll receive an email with a link to join a virtual meeting when you can share screens and talk in real time.  

Graduate Assistantship Tuition Scholarship

The graduate assistantship tuition scholarship form must be completed in its entirety by the student and the department doing the hiring and requires approval from the department supervisor before the form will be processed by Student Administrative Services. Once the form has been completed and all required signatures are on the form, email a pdf copy to Student Administrative Services at sas@loyola.edu. If the student’s employment status changes and any adjustments are needed, it’s the department’s responsibility to notify the Student Administrative Services immediately. 

The hiring process must be completed in Workday for the stipend amount to be paid to the student. If you have questions about Workday process for the stipend amount, please studentjobs@loyola.edu.

Payment Plan Information

Check out the Payment Options site for information and detailed instructions on the Nelnet payment plan set up.  You are able to change the amount of the payment plan during the set up.  

Health Insurance Info/Waivers (Full-time UG & GR)

Our new health plan with UnitedHealthcare has been approved by the State of Maryland, please review the coverage if you are interested in enrolling in the plan.  The fall semester enroll or waiver process will be open until 8/31; once completed and approved, the charge will be removed from the student statement within 7 to 10 business days.

The spring semester enroll or waiver process for new students will be open until 01/28/2025; once completed and approved, the charge will be removed from the student statement within 7 to 10 business days.  

Tuition Refund Plan

Undergraduate (Full-time)

A.W.G. Dewar provides an optional tuition refund plan for full-time undergraduate that will refund up to 80% of tuition, room, and meal plan paid to the University should the student withdraw from the semester due to a covered medical reason.  All full-time undergraduate students are automatically charged for the plan each fall and spring semesters. 

Visit Dewar for information and to waive out of the Tuition Refund Plan.  The waiver site is open from 6/1 to 9/15 and only needs to be completed once each academic year.  If you would like to waive for just the spring semester, the waiver site will reopen in November and close on January 31st.  After the waiver has been completed and approved, the charge will be removed from the student statement within 7 to 10 business days. 

Graduate (Full & Part-time)

A.W.G. Dewar offers an optional tuition refund plan for full/part-time graduate students that will refund up to 80% of tuition paid to the University should the student withdraw from the semester due to a covered medical reason.  Graduate students need to enroll directly with Dewar each semester they wish to have coverage.

Visit Dewar for more information regarding the graduate plan or to enroll for the semester.  Please note, you must enroll each semester you wish to have coverage.

Proxy Access

Proxy access to students' account has been moved to our new Self-Service module.

If there are any corrections or updates to the Proxy's information, please have the student email Advancements at updates@loyola.edu. Emails must be sent from the student's Loyola University Maryland email address.

Meal Plan Changes

Students wishing to change their meal plan can do so through the RoomRez Housing Portal on Inside Loyola through the first week of classes each semester.
