Navigating Resources

Loyola has a wide variety of resources to support students’ holistic well-being and success. Students struggling with academics, roommate conflicts, financial concerns, among others, often connect first with the Counseling Center, but may also benefit from connection to additional campus resources.

Residence Life & Housing: concerns related to roommate conflict and requests for room changes. (Seton Court 08B, 410-617-5081)

Office of Undergraduate Studies: concerns related to missed classes and assignments, transfer process, withdrawals, incompletes, and medical leave of absence. (Maryland Hall 145, 410-617-5547)

Case Manager: concerns related to finances (e.g., food, housing insecurity, paying for textbooks/laptops); support in navigating multiple on and off campus resources. (SSWP, Seton Court 02B, 410-617-2613)

The Study: concerns related to test anxiety, procrastination, time management, and tutoring; workshops and individual coaching are available. (Jenkins Hall, Third Floor, 410-617-2104)

Disability and Accessibility Services (DAS): office assists students with varied disabilities, including learning disabilities, ADHD, mental health impairments, chronic illnesses, autism spectrum disorders, brain injuries, physical/mobility disabilities, medical conditions, vision and hearing disabilities, and speech/language disabilities. The student is responsible for submitting an application and providing documentation of disability to DAS in order to request accommodations. This includes requests for emotional support animals (ESA) and single rooms for medical needs. A DAS advisor will work with a student through an interactive process to determine eligibility and appropriate accommodations. (MD Hall 141, 410-617-6500)

Academic Advising and Support Center (AASC): promotes the academic progress of undergraduate students by supporting the declaration of major (and minor) processes, course registration and withdrawal, and graduation clearance. AASC is a resource for students seeking clarity about degree requirements or university policies. (Maryland Hall 138, 410-617-5050)

*Note: The Counseling Center does not provide documentation or "excuse notes" for missed classes or assignments. Concerns related to missed classes or assignments should be addressed with the class professor or Office of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies. In addition, the Counseling Center does not provide documentation for emotional support animals or medical single bedrooms.
