Grant Deadline
Large grant proposals (for more than $5,000) Last working day in March (must be submitted in March preceding the academic year in which the program will occur)
Medium Grant proposals (over $1,500 and under $5,000)

Last working day in August for events scheduled in the fall or spring semesters;
Last working day in December for events scheduled in the spring semester
Last working day in March for events scheduled for the following academic year

Small Grant proposals (for $1,500 and under) Last working day of any month (August-April)
Aperio Series of Humane Texts Last working day in October
Digital Humanities Summer Institute (Faculty) Last working day in July (for the following summer)
Digital Humanities Summer Institute (Students)  Last working day in October
Faculty publication costs Any time during the year
Grants for teaching faculty attending academic conferences Last working day in  August for September meeting (priority deadline) and the last working day in any month from September to March until grant funds are used up
Humanities faculty library grants Any time during the year
Nachbahr Award nominations Last working day in October
Stipends for student summer study Last working day in February
Stipends for (otherwise) unpaid internships Last working day in March
Student-Led Seminars Last working day in October for spring seminars
Student-Led Seminars Last working day in February for fall seminars

  • Grants for teaching faculty attending academic conferences (until grant funds are used up)
  • Nurturing intellectual friendships

  • Digital Humanities Summer Institute (Faculty) for summer 2026

August 29, 2025:

  • Grant proposals for medium grants (over $1,500 and under $5,000) for fall or spring semester events
  • Grants for teaching faculty attending academic conferences (priority deadline)

September 30, 2025:

  • Team-taught courses (for the following academic year)

October 31, 2025:

  • The Nachbahr Award nominations
  • Aperio Series of Humane Texts
  • Student-Led Seminars for spring seminars
  • Digital Humanities Summer Institute student applications

November 25, 2025:

  • Student research assistants (for the spring semester)

December 19, 2025:

  • Grant proposals for medium grants (over $1,500 and under $5,000) for spring semester events

January 30, 2026:

  • Summer study grants for teaching faculty

February 27, 2026

  • Student summer fellowships
  • Stipend for summer study
  • Student-Led Seminars for fall seminars

March 31, 2026:

  • Large grant and Medium grant proposals for the following academic year
  • Stipends for (otherwise) unpaid internships
  • Student research assistants for summer
  • Student research assistants for fall

April 15, 2026:

April 30, 2026: 

  • Teaching Faculty Excellence Award nominations
