Advocacy and Civic Engagement
As Ignatian Citizens, members of the Loyola community recognize that we are responsible for the betterment of our shared world. Guided by Catholic Social Teaching and the Universal Apostolic Principles, CCSJ organizes opportunities to engage in work that promotes justice for all, including our planet. We encourage your civic participation in our democracy and invite you to participate in our advocacy initiatives as we work to create more just and equitable world.
Active Citizenship
Join the delegation to the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice and meet with Congressional representatives to advocate for more just environmental and migration policies.
Participate in CCSJ's Advocacy in Action series to learn more about Maryland's legislative process and how to voice your opinions on important social justice issues.

Voter Engagement
Exercise your right to vote! Go to LoyolaVotes to register to vote, make requests for absentee/mail-in ballots, and receive reminders about voting via text or email.
Join the LoyolaVotes Ambassadors student group to encourage voting and civic participation across campus.
Advocacy Actions
Gather with other students and members of the York Road community to attend the annual rally in Annapolis to show support for proposed legislation impacting our community.
Join a campaign focused on social justice topic important to you.
Awareness Events
Attend an awareness event on campus to increase your understanding of a particular issue and learn how you can translate your gained understanding into action.
Collaborate with CCSJ staff and interns to orchestrate and organize an awareness event on campus.
Social Media
Follow CCSJ and the York Road Initiative on social media to stay up to date on service opportunities, awareness events, advocacy initiatives and campaigns!
