Chair of Modern Languages and Literatures,
Associate Professor of French
Andrea Thomas comes from Alameda, California. Her research interests include nineteenth- through twenty-first- century French and Belgian literature, comparative literature, and book history. She especially loves to teach theater and public speaking classes (in French)! Dr. Thomas served as the Director of Loyola’s Leuven Program, accompanied a student group to France, and now leads an immersion weekend in Montreal each year. She hopes all students can experience life abroad at least once during their time at Loyola.
