Scholarships

In your admissions application to Loyola, you might have also requested financial aid; Loyola will have notified you about whether you will be receiving that aid. Direct your questions about that financial aid to the Office of Financial Aid.

On this page we list opportunities we are aware of either specifically for computer science students, or that have been emailed to our faculty to share with our students. It is up to you to determine if a scholarship is a good fit, double check the deadline, and apply. Your advisor can help you with questions about application materials, such as how to write a personal statement or essay.

Scholarships through Loyola

Hyman Science Scholars Program

The Hyman Science Scholars Program is for students excelling in computer science, mathematics, statistics, data science, or physics. Most scholars are admitted after being accepted to Loyola, with deadlines shortly after the Loyola admissions deadlines. A small handful of high achieving students are admitted at the end of their first year at Loyola. Transfer students can also apply after applying to Loyola. Admissions to the Hyman Science Scholars Program is not based on your nor your family’s financial needs; however, if you are admitted to the program and the Office of Financial Aid has determined that you have financial need, then you may be eligible for an additional scholarship through the Hyman Science Scholars Program.

National Fellowships Office

Loyola’s National Fellowships Office can guide you on large national scholarships programs run by unaffiliated organizations, and if they are a good fit for you. This includes Fulbright, Goldwater, and many more. Many have GPA requirements, as well as requirements for how close you are to graduation.
