Biography
Dr. Ali M. Sedaghat, CMA, is associate professor of Accounting at Sellinger School of Business and Management. Dr. Sedaghat has taught accounting and business courses for more than twenty five years. He is a member of the American Accounting Association, Institute of Management Accounting, and the Decision Science Institute. Dr. Sedaghat has worked for several public and private companies including National Iranian Oil Company, Iranian Oil Refinery Company, Shahpoor Petrochemical (a project by Allied Chemical Company), Coopers and Lybrand Consulting firm and Grant Thornton. He has published in Issues in Accounting Education, Advances in Accounting, Accounting Educators Journal, Journal of Corporate Taxation, The Business & Taxes Quarterly, Management Accounting, Journal of International Accounting, Journal of Business Case Studies, The Journal of Teaching in International Business, and the American Journal of Business Education. He served as KMPG Peat Marwick Alumni Faculty Fellow for two terms. He has presented papers at more than thirty national and international professional meetings. Dr. Sedaghat was the recipient of Ursela Albert Faculty Mentor of the Year award on 2001.
