Biography
Dr. Sanjay (Sonny) Dua is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Management in the A.
Sellinger, S.J. School of Business & Management. Professor Dua has spent 25 years
working in industry, specializing in Continuous Improvement and Organizational Change.
Most of his career has been working in progressive leadership roles for multi-national
corporations such as GE, The Home Depot, and The Coca-Cola Company. Since relocating
from Atlanta, GA to Maryland, he’s worked for Quasi Federal organizations, including
the Federal Reserve System and the International Monetary Fund. He currently leads
the Organizational Change for an Infrastructure Investments Job Act (IIJA) funded
digital transformation with Amtrak.
Professor Dua is a frequent presenter on the topic of Diversity & Inclusion, with
an emphasis on how Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), a recent phenomenon in academic
research, can play a significant role in advancing business goals.

Professor Dua’s research focus has been the intersection of innovation within Diversity & Inclusion programs. His concentration is with Employee Resource Groups (ERG) and how these groups can impact both business and individual team member performance.
