Loyola’s Sellinger School of Business introduces high school summer program

Loyola University Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business and Management will introduce a five-day business program for high school students this summer. The residential, overnight program, Sellinger Mission-Driven Business Academy, will take place July 6 to 10 on Loyola’s Evergreen Campus in Baltimore.
“Students attending the academy will, even before university, gain familiarity with business terminology and protocol and the ability to use those tools to think critically about how business can positively transform lives and communities,” said Mary Ann Scully, MBA ’79, dean of Loyola’s Sellinger School.
The program provides rising high school juniors and seniors with the opportunity to live and learn in a collegiate environment while developing a foundation in mission-driven business and ethical leadership grounded in Loyola’s Jesuit values. Workshops, team-based projects, field experience with Innovation Works, and a capstone presentation will present business topics including entrepreneurship, financial literacy, marketing, and strategic decision-making.
“The academy introduces students to a learning environment that emphasizes reflection, collaboration, and the pursuit of excellence with integrity,” said Dave Luvison, DBA, executive in residence and chair of Sellinger’s department of management and organizations.
Graduates of the program will receive a certificate of completion. To learn more and apply, visit the Sellinger Mission-Driven Business Academy website.
