Loyola names MCB Real Estate’s David Bramble as Business Leader of the Year

Loyola University Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business and Management named P. David Bramble, co-founder and managing partner of MCB Real Estate, as the 2025 Business Leader of the Year. The award honors business executives who embody Loyola’s Jesuit commitment to community and service in the leadership of their organization.
Bramble will be honored at Loyola’s annual Business Leader of the Year event on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore. For more information, visit the Business Leader of the Year website.
“David Bramble is a visionary community builder who has recognized the power of real estate development to transform not just neighborhoods but the lives of those who live, work, and visit those neighborhoods. He is deeply committed to leveraging diverse perspectives to create truly inclusive environments,” said Mary Ann Scully, MBA ’79, dean of Loyola’s Sellinger School. “We are delighted and proud to be able to honor him and recognize the impact of his leadership on the Baltimore area through his work at MCB Real Estate and throughout his career.”
Bramble, who has been working in real estate investment for more than 20 years, leads MCB Real Estate, a dynamic, privately held real estate investment firm that manages $3 billion in assets, and owns, manages, and operates more than 17 million square feet of commercial space nationwide, with an additional 4 million square feet currently under development. Under Bramble’s leadership, MCB is driving transformative regional developments such as Viva White Oak, Reservoir Square, and Harborplace. A corporate and real estate attorney by training and an expert in all aspects of the real estate cycle, Bramble dedicates his time to sourcing and capitalizing transactions and overseeing project underwriting and execution.
“Leaders play a critical role in shaping the future of our city and region, and David Bramble’s passion for promoting healthy growth in the city of Baltimore is unparalleled,” said Terrence M. Sawyer, J.D., president of Loyola. “His creative, strategic work in real estate development reflects not just his extensive expertise in the field but also his concern for strengthening a community he knows and cares about deeply. As an anchor institution in Baltimore, Loyola is pleased to celebrate David and his ongoing contributions to our community.”
Prior to MCB, Bramble served as the director of commercial lending for a regionally based full-service lending firm, Madison Funding, which he co-founded in 2000. Prior to devoting all his time to commercial real estate investment, Bramble practiced law in the transactions group of Steptoe & Johnson LLP where he provided corporate and real estate advisory services.
Bramble is the chairman of the board of Lendistry and a member of the investment committee and board of the Robert W. Deutsch Foundation. He also serves on the boards of Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, UPENN Institute for Urban Research, Baltimore Tree Trust, and the Abell Foundation. In addition, he serves on the executive committee of the board of directors for the Greater Baltimore Committee and is a member of the CRC Silver Council of the Urban Land Institute.
A graduate of Baltimore’s City College High School, Bramble received an A.B. in Politics from Princeton University and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
Bramble has received many awards and accolades. This year alone, Bramble has been named one of Maryland’s 100 Most Influential Leaders by The Daily Record, received the 2025 Anthony Overton Entrepreneur Trailblazer Award from the Presidents’ RoundTable, was honored with the Reginald Lewis Titan Award, and received the 2025 MET Gala Community Impact Award.
