Loyola’s vice president for enrollment management named president of The National Catholic College Admission Association
Eric Nichols, vice president for enrollment management at Loyola University Maryland, was elected president of The National Catholic College Admission Association. Established in 1959, the national association is a nonprofit organization of more than 120 member Catholic colleges and universities that promotes Catholic higher education and serves students, parents, and admissions counselors.
Nichols began his yearlong term in January after a three-year tenure as treasurer on the association’s board of directors. After serving as president, he will spend the 2025-26 academic year as past president.
“It’s been a pleasure being a member of this board for many years and I’m honored to be its president this year,” Nichols said. “I look forward to working with my fellow board members as we continue to collaborate to promote the value of Catholic higher education.”
Nichols serves as Loyola’s chief enrollment officer and oversees undergraduate admission, financial aid, enrollment data and analytics, and graduate admission. He co-chaired Loyola’s university-wide strategic planning process which culminated in the launching of Together We Rise: Loyola University Maryland’s Strategic Plan for 2030.
Prior to joining Loyola in 2019, Nichols was vice president for enrollment and dean of admission at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire. Previously, he worked in admission and career counseling for Brown University and Stonehill College. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Stonehill and a Master of Education in counseling from Providence College.
