Thrive Center Block Party

The Thrive Center welcomes you to the beginning of the school year with a Block Party! Come meet our staff, learn about our office, our Thrive Center student organizations, and have a chance to collect some of our giveaways and win prizes. Refreshments will be provided! Club Kick Off

Calling all Club Leaders! It's that time of the semester again! Join us at Club Kickoff to set yourself (and your club) up for success this academic year. There will be opportunities for newer club leaders to learn the basics (club funding, The Bridge, etc.) and opportunities for returning club leaders to learn something new.

Clubs are asked to ensure at least one representative from their exec board/leadership is present at Club Kickoff. This representative is tasked with bringing knowledge and information learned back to their leadership teams and organization at large. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.

This is YOUR time to get involved, gain a new hobby, and explore your passion. Visit the Student Activities Fair on the Quad to learn about the endless ways to get involved on our Evergreen campus! More than 130 student clubs and organizations will be represented. Continue your craft or pick up a new hobby! Hosted by the Office of Student Leadership and Involvement (rain date Sept. 15th, same time and location)

Community Engagement Fair

Join us at the Community Engagement Fair where you can explore the various community engagement, service, advocacy, and justice opportunities offered by the Center for Community, Service, and Justice throughout our York Road and Baltimore community. Meet community partners and find the right opportunities for you. Community engagement, advocacy initiatives, and civic engagement are just a few of the opportunities at Loyola where you can live out our Jesuit values of being a person for and with others. Student leaders and professional staff will be available to share more information about occasional/one-time and weekly service opportunities as well as advocacy opportunities and courses you can take on-campus that offer service-learning opportunities. If you're interested in learning more about ways to serve and connect to our Baltimore community, you won't want to miss this event. Hosted by Center for Community, Service, and Justice.

Govans Farmers' Market

Loyola University Maryland’s York Road Initiative (YRI) will host the 12th season of the Govans Farmers’ Market on Wednesdays from 3 – 6 p.m. between June and November. The market is located in the parking lot of Loyola's Transportation and Public Safety complex at 5104 York Rd. Check out a variety of vendors from fruit to bread to tacos! Hosted by the Center for Community, Service, and Justice and the York Road Initiative.

The Mass of the Holy Spirit is a celebratory welcome to the new school year and connects Loyola to a tradition across Jesuit universities and institutions. We gather to call on God's Spirit for inspiration in the upcoming academic year. The entire University community is invited to pray together, celebrate the Spirit and rededicate ourselves to Loyola University Maryland's mission and community. We celebrate our University's diversity, and, together, look forward to a year of learning, engagement and relationship. Hosted by Campus Ministry.
