How does teaching Baltimore County middle school science students to create their own study guide affect student assessment performance: Teacher Research Proposal
The purpose of this study is to investigate how teaching a Baltimore County middle school’s gifted and talented science students’ metacognitive skills and strategies impacts their performance on formative and summative assessments. The proposed research will seek to answer the question, “How does teaching middle school science students to create a study guide affect their performance on assessments? The aim of the study will be to show a correlation between creations of a study guide by incorporating metacognitive skills in the classroom and improved assessment performance.
