Loyola and clean, renewable energy sources

Loyola has 2 Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs): Project Friendship and Project Catherine!

Loyola University Maryland supports clean energy development in Maryland by purchasing electricity generated by 2 solar farms (Friendship Solar Farm and Catherine Community Solar Project). The university signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with Chaberton Energy - a Maryland-based renewable energy company funded by Greenbacker Development Fund.

Loyola has on-campus Geothermal!

Geothermal is located under the Butler parking lot on campus and powers Thea Bowman's heating and cooling system.
