                                  The Graduate Assistant (GA) for Thrive Center for Student Success is expected to assist
                                       in the development and implementation of initiatives that cater to students' holistic
                                       growth and development and serve the mission and vision of the Thrive Center for Student
                                       Success. 
                                 
                                 Graduate Assistants employed by the Thrive Center for Success will develop and strengthen
                                       their professional competencies through hands-on experience and active engagement
                                       in student support services in one or more of the following areas:

                                    - 2. Inclusion and belonging
 
                                    
                                    - 3. Teamwork and collaboration
 
                                    
                                    - 4. Assessment, evaluation, and research

                                    - The position is part-time, up to 20hrs/week, starting the first week of August and
                                          ending the third week of May. Students can work up to 600 hours between both semesters.
 
                                    
                                    - Compensation is $20/hour.
 
                                    
                                    - The GAs will be permitted to procure additional employment with the approval of the
                                       Supervisor.

                                    - Must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at Loyola University Maryland.
 
                                    
                                    - Strong organizational skills & attention to details.

                              | General Responsibilities | 
                              
                              
                                 
                                 
                                    
                                    - 1. Plan and evaluate at least two academic/career enrichment workshops per month (in
                                       person and virtual).  Aid in the academic intervention efforts of the Center by outreaching
                                       to undergraduate students as it relates to their academic success, and vocational/career
                                       discernment. 
 2. Coordinate and evaluate fall and spring leadership retreats for the executive boards
                                       of the Thrive Center’s student organizations.  3. Manage the implementation of one Leadership Roundtable per semester for the Thrive
                                       Center’s student organization leaders.  4. Serve as a liaison to multiple designated student organizations, helping to coordinate
                                       campus-wide cultural heritage celebrations, meeting with the executive boards as necessary,
                                       and maintaining regular communication to address the needs and concerns of those organizations. 5. Provide logistical support to the Assistant Director in the planning and oversight
                                       of the Center’s pre-fall program that offers academic, social, and personal support
                                       to incoming first year students. 6. Attend weekly Thrive Center staff meetings and supervision meetings, report updates
                                       to the supervisory team. 7. Provide coverage and assist with designated Thrive Center sponsored events, including
                                       evening/night and weekend coverage, and facilitate presentations on behalf of the
                                       Thrive Center as requested by campus partners. 8. Assist with social media platforms (such as creating and posting advertisements
                                       on the Thrive Center Instagram account) and maintain records/files in an accurate
                                       manner.  9. Establish rapport and positive working relationships with students by maintaining
                                       visibility in the Thrive Center office and Center for Intercultural Engagement (CIE)
                                       during designated office hours.  10. Other duties as assigned.

                                    - 1. Maintain professionalism during all interactions with students, staff, and faculty
                                       of Loyola University Maryland.
 2. Demonstrate a commitment to the promotion of Jesuit values and ideals, such as
                                       Cura Personalis and an appreciation for the respect and dignity of the whole person.  3. Demonstrate an awareness of inclusivity, and a willingness to support students
                                       through an intersectional framework. 4. Attend weekly one-on-one meetings with their supervisor. 5. Available to support evening/night and weekend activities.  6. Maintain office hours & visibility in the CIE. 7. Serve as a positive role model and advocate for Thrive students.
