Graduate Assistant for Student Integrity |
| Responsibilities |
- Student Integrity
- Adjudicate first‑time and lower‑level violations of university policies, with emphasis
on residence life and housing-related cases (vacancy policy, pet policy, fire-safety
policy)
- Track student completion of educational sanctions, civility hours, loss of privileges,
and alternative resolutions.
- Assist with scheduling and providing administrative support for Administrative Hearing
panels composed of university professional staff.
- Use university integrity software to process incident reports, create cases, manage
electronic case files, and attach documentation.
- Education and Programming
- Design and implement one campus‑wide anti‑hazing program.
- Plan small and large‑scale programs related to conflict resolution, anti‑hazing, and
restorative living, especially during high‑risk times of year.
- Support the development of the “me to we” and anti-hazing community workshops
- Administrative
- Track Vector module completions and assign in-office “completion sessions” for students
with outstanding modules
- Track all student integrity and vandalism fines using the Maxient system.
- Provide general administrative support and complete other assigned duties.
- Student Integrity Ambassadors
- Support the recruitment, training, and onboarding of members of Student Integrity
Ambassadors
- Supervise 5-6 ambassadors and hold weekly check-ins
- Serve as a non-voting advisor for the SIA hearings
- Student Development Division
- Assist the Associate Director of Housing Operations with project-based assignments
related to housing selection (e.g., data entry, database maintenance, responding to
student emails, printing, and other administrative tasks).
- Participate in biweekly staff meetings, quarterly trainings, and professional development
activities.
- Attend January GA training (Thursday/Friday before January Opening; 9:00 a.m.–5:00
p.m.).

Hours and Wages
|
The Graduate Assistant (GA) will work up to 20 hours per week. They will receive an
hourly wage of $20 for the first 10 hours worked each week. The remaining 10 hours
will be compensated through a housing plan provided by the Office of Residence Life
and Housing. This plan includes a furnished living space along with select utilities. |
| Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s degree and full-time enrollment in a Loyola University Maryland graduate
program.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, including excellent
written communication.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Knowledge of common college student experiences, challenges, and developmental needs.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, supervise, and/or advise
student leaders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams, with a willingness to learn new
technologies (training provided as needed).
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to ethical conduct.

| Expectations |
- The SIRJ Graduate Assistant employment period is for the entire academic year, starting
on Monday, August 3, 2026, and ending on Sunday, May 16, 2027.
- Student Integrity Graduate Assistants are required to work 20 hours/week to meet the
terms of their contract. Of those 20 hours, up to 5 hours weekly can be allocated
to support the Student Development divisional needs.
- Honor Council Graduate Assistants are required to work 10-15 hours/week to meet the
terms of their contract. Of the 15
hours, at least 5 hours must consist of in-person office hours in the Office of Student
Integrity
- GAs will primarily work in-person Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.,
with occasional evening and weekend hours as needed.
- GAs are expected to adhere to all University policies. Any violation of university
policy shall result in referrals to the university Student Integrity process and,
pending the outcome, result in probation or termination of employment.
- The Director of Student Integrity and Restorative Justice Practices (or their designee)
must approve any adjustments to the approved schedules for all GAs. All extracurricular
activities, outside employment, or non-credit internships must be discussed in advance
with the Director of SIRJ (or their designee) prior to being accepted by the GA. If
approved, these changes must be put in writing. Please note that no more than 10 hours
per week of these activities will be approved.
- GAs must fulfil all expectations outlined in this document and their contract. Failure
to meet any of these expectations will result in job action, which includes but is
not limited to written warning, suspension/loss of pay, and/or termination from the
assistantship.
