AIDS Action Baltimore – provides patient services for all people in Baltimore City regardless of race,
religion, age, disabilities, sexual orientation, gender or non-confirming gender,
including emergency financial assistance, HIV education, testing assistance, navigation
support for healthcare linkage, retention in care, medication adherence and access
support, HIV prevention services, including outreach efforts and pre-exposure prophylaxis
(PrEP) medication access.
Baltimore OUTloud – the Mid-Atlantic’s premier independent voice of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender,
and questioning (LGBTQ+) community. They provide comprehensive news, provocative opinions,
and the latest in local entertainment. The paper is published every other Friday by
Pride Media Limited and delivered throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Blaq Equity Baltimore – aims to foster a sense of belonging and connectedness among the Black LGBTQ+ community
in the Baltimore metropolitan area and increase their capacity to be mentally, physically,
spiritually, emotionally, sexually, and economically healthy. They provide culturally
responsive and trauma-informed community engagement, educational programming, strategic
community coalition building, and training and professional development.
Chase Brexton Health Care – provides a range of clinical services from primary medical care and behavioral
health services to dental and pharmacy, among others for the great Baltimore area.
Offers comfortable and affirming health services to LGBTQ+ communities.
D.C. Area Transmasculine Society (DCATS) – a trans-led, nonprofit organization that serves to advance the lives of
transmasculine folx by providing resources that help overcome the social, economic,
and health-related barriers to living authentically.
FreeState Justice – Maryland’s leading legal nonprofit working to improve the lives of Maryland's lesbian,
gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) community. Through their free legal
services, legislative advocacy, and education and outreach programs, FSJ hopes to
eliminate barriers to create a Maryland where truly anyone can thrive.
Hearts and Ears – a trans-led, peer-run wellness and recovery center for LGBTQIA+ individuals in
Baltimore City and surrounding counties. The center is open 32 hours a week and offers
a variety of hybrid groups and activities surrounding behavioral health, holistic
wellness, daily check-ins, and assistance with locating resources. All groups are
confidential and are facilitated by LGBTQIA+ peers in recovery.
Johns Hopkins Center for Transgender and Gender Expansive Health – offers comprehensive, evidence-based and affirming care for transgender youth and
adults that is in line with the standards of care set by the World Professional Association
for Transgender Health (WPATH).
Moveable Feast – aims to improve the health of Marylanders experiencing food insecurity and chronic
illness by preparing and delivering medically tailored meals and providing nutrition
education, thereby achieving racial, social, and health equity. Moveable Feast serves
individuals, particularly those living with HIV/AIDS, who have a critical and life-threatening
illness which prevents them from accessing, affording, or preparing medically appropriate
meals for themselves.
The Pride Center of Maryland – the state's primary source for guidance, education, cultural competency, and services
to improve quality of life, especially for LGBTQ+ youth, adults, elders, and allies
of all backgrounds, ethnicities, perspectives, genders, sexualities, and cultures.
Through youth development, mental health, violence prevention, support services, and
trauma-informed care programs, PCOM advocates for equity, justice, and safe access
to well-being and protection while building bridges and understanding between diverse
communities.
Whitman-Walker Health – a Washington, D.C.-based center offering affirming community-based health and wellness
services to all with a special expertise in LGBTQ+ and HIV care.
