Boss Laser Cutter at LNDL
The Boss Laser Cutter LS-1630, located in the Innovation Station on the mail level of the Loyola Notre Dame Library, enables users to precisely cut and engrave a variety of materials using computer aided design. This machine is available to Loyola University Maryland and Notre Dame of Maryland University students, faculty, and staff through reservation. Faculty may request library-staff led Innovation Station Makerspace Technology Instruction for their classes by emailing techservices-lndl@loyola.edu.
How to use it
Users must agree to the Makerspace Policies and Guidelines and complete the Maker Information and Agreement Form prior to using the equipment. After becoming an LNDL Maker, users will need to schedule an appointment for authorization training for the laser cutter. Use of this machine will be by reservation only and monitored at a safe distance by a trained library staff member.
