Small Groups

Koinonia

"We have all known the long loneliness
and we have learned that the only solution is love,
and that love comes with community."

Mission

Campus Ministry Small Groups provide an opportunity to build deep friendships with whom you can share, reflect, and grow as you discuss topics that are relevant to your lives and explore different methods of spirituality and mindfulness. Small groups offer an avenue of connection, so that we can provide for each other the kind of love and care that can only come from being in community.

Campus Ministry currently offers five different small groups:

  • Cura Spirituality Groups (10-11am Every Wednesday, meet in Cohn Hall common space)
  • Pre-Mass Scripture Study (4pm every Sunday in Cohn Hall common space)
  • Cor Group for Catholic Men (Contact Michael Shutt; mbshutt@loyola.edu)
  • Fiat Group for Catholic Women (Contact Clare O'Brien; cjobrien1@loyola.edu)every Sunday at 12:45pm in Beatty Hall 114)
  • Hound PAC (Prayer, Athletics, Community): Bible Study for Athletes (Contact Joe
  • Hayburn; jhayburn1@loyola.edu) (First meeting Oct. 10th 7:30pm in Cohn 100)

Group Overview

Small Groups are primarily led by student facilitators. Facilitators will work with the Assistant Director for Faith Formation to plan and implement meeting agendas to their respective small groups. Groups can meet either weekly or semiweekly depending on the interest of group members.
