Student Philanthropy

Why is philanthropy important?

Philanthropy plays a crucial role in making the college experience at Loyola possible. Giving back builds community and social responsibility while supporting Loyola’s ability to grow as an institution in the future.

99% of Loyola undergraduate students receive some form of financial assistance to attend Loyola."

Here's why student giving matters to ALL Greyhounds:

  1. Gifts provide financial aid: 99% of current undergraduate students receive some form of financial aid or scholarship. All gifts to Loyola's Evergreen Annual Fund support financial aid to help make a Loyola degree affordable for all students.
  2. Giving enhances the Loyola experience: Donations enhance extracurricular activities, clubs, study abroad, and events.

Tuition and room & board cover 70% of a Loyola education. Generous donations provide the rest, impacting ALL students"

  3. It supports your fellow Greyhounds: Everyone at Loyola deserves a chance to succeed. Some students face unexpected expenses during the year. Loyola's Student Success Fund helps cover these expenses so that any student—no matter their circumstance—has the opportunity to continue their education.
  4. Giving is all around you: Philanthropy has played a major role since Loyola's founding. Gifts from generous donors kickstart new programs, build and maintain facilities, fund research, and provide scholarships. It's everywhere on campus. The Loyola we know today exists because of philanthropy.

  5. Paying it forward: Gifts to Loyola from our community support these initiatives and impact future Greyhounds' education. Each year, thousands of donors generously support Loyola, and many made their first gift while students.

Our future is as strong as we want it to be, and giving back makes Loyola's future bright.

Student Giving

Every year, students from each class year choose to make a gift to Loyola. These gifts support any initiative or piece of the Loyola experience that is meaningful to them.

Join us in making a difference. Every contribution counts, whether it's $10 or a gift in honor of your class year ($20.25).

By contributing to student giving, you're directly influencing Loyola's present and future. Your support helps us maintain a thriving community where every student has the opportunity to excel and make a difference in the world.
