Joanna Alexander Program Assistant
Ms. Alexander is the program assistant for academic affairs. She provides support for the coordination, planning and facilitation of key academic events and ceremonies, and external academic affairs information. In addition, Ms. Alexander provides assistance to Ms. Kavanagh, director of academic events.
Joshua Gembicki Governance Coordinator (Secretary to the Board on Rank and Tenure)
Mr. Gembicki provides assistance and support to governance bodies, including but not limited to the Board on Rank and Tenure, the Executive Committee of Governance, Loyola Conference, Academic Senate, Academic Affairs Committee on the Board of Trustees, and other administrative governance bodies within Academic Affairs. Mr. Gembicki is also the primary Interfolio liaison for Loyola faculty. Interfolio is Loyola’s rank, tenure, and annual review routing system that also aids in reporting on faculty scholarship, courses, advising, and accomplishments.
Heather Kavanagh Director of Academic Events
Ms. Kavanagh is responsible for the overall planning and management of key academic events and ceremonies including Commencement.
David Mack Academic Program Development Specialist
Mr. Mack is responsible for supporting the implementation of the university-wide academic assessment plan, overseeing academic compliance matters, and facilitating academic program proposals to the Maryland Higher Education Commission and the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
Claire Neubaum Office Manager
Mrs. Neubaum is the office manager for academic affairs. She directly supports the provost and vice president for academic affairs as well as the associate vice presidents with calendaring, agenda-setting, communications, and special projects. She is responsible for directing and coordinating office services and related activities, and in charge of overseeing front-office activities. She supports the office to ensure the smooth operation and support the mission of its leadership and staff.
