Biography
Marian Crotty is the author of What Counts as Love, which was longlisted for the PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize and won the Janet Heidinger Kafka Award. Her fiction has appeared in literary journals such as The Kenyon Review, The Alaska Quarterly Review, and The Southern Review as well as Best American Short Stories 2020. Her essays, two of which have been listed as notable essays for the Best American Essays series, have appeared in journals such as The Gettysburg Review, The New England Review, and Electric Literature. She is an assistant editor at The Common, a literary journal based in Amherst, Massachusetts that publishes writing with a strong sense of place. Her hobbies include reading and hiking with family.
