The Visual Commentary on Scripture

Several faculty members of Loyola’s Theology Department contributed to the Visual Commentary on Scripture, an open access online collection that explores the Bible in conversation with art. Each exhibition features a biblical passage paired with three works of art and a comparative commentary.
Dr. Rebekah Eklund composed commentaries on Matthew 5:1-12, “The Blessed” and on 1 Peter 1:1-12, “Where Angels Long to Look.”
Dr. Angela Christman composed the commentary on Isaiah 63:1-14, “The Winepress.”
Dr. Matthew Rothaus Moser composed the commentary on Isaiah 6: "Holy, Holy, Holy."
