- Conduct market feasibility studies, analyze capital flows, and determine highest & best use for land parcels—all while aligning business recommendations with ethical and sustainability considerations.
- Build financial acumen: proficiency in NPV/IRR, cash flow modeling, real estate finance (e.g., REITs), and valuation techniques.
- Navigate regulatory and legal frameworks, including zoning, property rights, commercial contracts, and environmental due diligence.
- Utilize cutting-edge tools and methodologies: location analytics, Real Estate Technology, and sustainable design principles in real estate elective coursework.
Real Estate
REE 225
Evaluate unimproved land development as well as rehabilitation of existing land. Topics include market analysis, site acquisition and planning, building design, construction, and financing, leasing.
Real Estate Finance and Investment
REE 325
Addresses how real estate value is established as well as more real estate finance specific applications.
Real Estate Capstone
REE 445
Students will have the opportunity to work with a real estate firm on a semester-long capstone project to research, analyze, establish a business plan for, present, and defend a real-world investment opportunity.
Electives include:
Real Estate Entrepreneurship, Real Estate Technology, Accessible Housing Environment, and Land and Adaptive Reuse Real Estate.
